MEET THE CASSIDY PSYCHIATRY TEAM
Cassidy Psychiatry has assembled the very best team to provide you with the very best care. All of our providers are Board Certified. We have an extensive knowledge of psychopharmacology and psychotherapy. But more importantly, the entire team has compassion and empathy. We are nonjudgmental and welcoming to all of our patients.

Curtis William Cassidy, M.D.
Dr. Cassidy is a ninth generation native Floridian. He was born and raised in Lakeland and graduated from Lakeland Senior High School. Dr. Cassidy received his undergraduate degree from Davidson College in North Carolina and his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Cassidy completed internship and residency training in Psychiatry at the University of South Florida where he was Chief Resident of Psychiatry. Dr. Cassidy completed Fellowship training in Forensic Psychiatry at Yale University. He is Board Certified in Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Cassidy has completed over one thousand Forensic Evaluations and testified in over one hundred and fifty cases in State and Federal Courts. Dr. Cassidy is committed to law enforcement and conducts fitness for duty evaluations, critical incident evaluations, debriefing counseling and risk assessment for Sheriff offices and other law enforcement agencies throughout Central Florida and the West Coast.
Dr. Cassidy is dedicated to providing cutting edge clinical care while expanding access to as many patients as possible. Dr. Cassidy was one of the first Neurostar TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) providers in the state of Florida back in 2009. Now, Dr. Cassidy is again one of the first and the largest Spravato and Ketamine private practice treatment locations in Central Florida.

Rachel Houser, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC
Rachel Houser is one of the few Doctoral level Nurse Practitioners in Polk County, who is dual board certified in Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Practice. Mrs. Houser is recognized by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the American Nurses Credential Center (ANCC), and certified by both Boards to ensure the highest quality of care.
Mrs. Houser received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA., in 2001, and her Master’s degree from Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky, in 2007. Recognizing the mental health care disparities across the country, Mrs. Houser completed her Post Master’s as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and earned a Doctorate in Nursing Practice. She prides herself on continually learning to provide her patients with the latest advances in Psychiatric treatment.
Mrs. Houser was raised in Polk County, Florida. She has five children, and in her spare time she enjoys attending their sporting events and spending time with her grandchildren.

Emily Corl
Emily Corl has been the Office Manager at Cassidy Psychiatry since the beginning of 2014. She was born and raised in Northwest Ohio and moved to Lakeland in 1995. Emily has worked with numerous community groups in leadership positions and was the local advisor for a sorority house for over nine years. Emily is married to a local church organist and they have one child. She is very active in her church community serving on multiple committees, planning events, and being an active member of the sound and video team.

Katie Drake
Katie Drake has worked for Cassidy Psychiatry since March 2021. She was born in Winter Haven, Florida and has lived in Polk County her entire life. Before working at Cassidy Psychiatry, Katie was a full-time Nanny and previously worked at Disney World for five years. She has three dogs and spends all her free time with them.

Claudia Faz, M.A.
Claudia has worked for Dr. Cassidy since 2009. Claudia is married and has four children and four grandchildren. She was hired as the lead TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) Operator. Prior to joining Dr. Cassidy, Claudia worked at a local assisted living facility. Claudia wears many hats as a Medical Assistant and loves to learn. She enjoys serving others and helping every patient feel comfortable and at ease. Currently, Claudia is the primary caregiver during KetaMist® treatment at Cassidy Psychiatry.

Jenny Foster
Jenny started working at Cassidy Psychiatry in the Summer of 2020 and is the Patient Care Manager. She has previously worked as a private caregiver for several years, and for a financial planner for nine years. Jenny grew up in Lakeland and returned after living away for 25 years, to be near her extended family. Jenny has three children and enjoys the beach, traveling, and the outdoors.
